The Idea Of Internet Marketing
Business promotion is a risky job. In order to make a good presence among the competitors one has to make some preparations such as market research, study the scope of business, and preparing attracting advertisements. Offline marketing is more expensive and requires much human effort. The introduction of online business has changed the entire traditional marketing strategies and made marketing more cost effective and one can trade at anywhere at anytime. Search engine optimization and other website promotion services make internet marketing more comfortable and reliable.
Internet marketing, one of the latest business strategies, uses the Internet as the medium to promote and sell products and services. It has had a tremendous impact on all industrial businesses and covers public relations, information management, customer service, and sales. Internet marketing includes search engine marketing, e-mail marketing, pay-per-click advertising, interactive advertising, permissive marketing, affiliate marketing, and banner ads.
The basic idea behind internet marketing is to make a business more visible thereby attracting more customers. A top ranked website can do it well. It is achieved by designing a good website, writing simple and informative web content with good keyword density, and optimizing content, keyword and images. It drives more traffic to the website and promotes business by attracting more and more Internet visitors and converts them to customers.
Internet marketing is categorized into two types:
- Business-to-Business (B2B) - trading between business companies
- Business-to-Customer (B2C) - selling products and services directly to the end users
Today, Internet business has become more convenient to most of the small, medium, and large type businesses alike. There are no boundary restrictions in online business; you can arrange business at national and international market environments. In addition to benefits, internet marketing has a number of limitations. It doesn't allow the customers to touch, try on tangible goods before purchase. Slow internet connection is another major difficulty.
