Skin biopsy is one of the common dermatology procedures, where a doctor cuts and removes a small sample of skin to have it tested. The American Medical Association (AMA) recently updated the 2019 CPT codes list for skin biopsy procedures, by replacing two existing codes with six new codes. Dermatology practices as well as medical billing and coding companies should be up to date with these coding changes and revisions in 2019.
