OSI (Outsource Strategies International) offers dental service and procedure verification with dental insurance service providers. We were approached by TF Dental Group, a dental management company from McDonough, Georgia that offers cosmetic, restorative and general dentistry along with other dental procedures.
The company’s Practice Administrator contacted OSI in March 2013 for assistance in securing verifications for their patient base since their office was struggling to keep up with the increasing clientele. There was a rise in non-payment of claims as a result of a lack of coverage and issues with eligibility.
OSI first provided the client with a free trial that impressed them. They decided to go ahead with us and wanted us to directly work on their web-based software, which also had a patient scheduler. We conducted a training session and then assigned a team of verification experts with a practice manager for leading the verification team. A QA team was also put in place for the accurate capture of the verification information.
This ongoing project began in March 2013. All the verification services we provided came with a 24-hour TAT. This was helped by the fact that we could work directly from the client’s scheduling software, enabling us to stay a week ahead of the appointments. OSI is also able to capture verification information on patients added each day for emergencies. The client expressed happiness with our services since we were able to free their staff from this time-consuming work. It also helped the practice improve its bottom line by ensuring eligibility and outlining patient responsibility before the rendering of service.
