Vascular surgeons perform a comprehensive range of procedures and the adoption of new endovascular techniques has led to reduced hospital stays. CMS has created comprehensive APCs (c-APCs) in CY2015, in an effort to help pay providers for quality, not quantity of care. In calendar year (CY) 2017, CMS continues with the C-APC policies established in CY 2015, but has added 25 new C-APCs.
